Summary
Kforce has a client in Alpharetta, GA that is seeking a SAP CPQ Developer.
Responsibilities:
* Lead end-to-end SAP CPQ implementations: discovery, solution architecture, configuration, data modeling, testing, deployment, and hypercare
* Translate business requirements (products, bundles, channels, approvals) into scalable CPQ design patterns and documentation
* Configure product models, catalogs, bundles, guided selling flows, constraints, and Variant Configuration (VC/AVC) objects (classes, characteristics, dependencies, procedures, constraints, and knowledge bases)
* Build attribute- and rule-based configurations (including compatibility rules, selection rules, calculation rules)
* Implement pricing strategies: list/transfer/net pricing, price elements, cost-plus and margin targets, surcharges/discounts, tiering, and promotions
* Create and maintain table-driven logic (e.g., table constraints/ -table starts- for rule lookups, eligibility rules, and price matrices)
* Design performant data models and lookup tables for variant/option eligibility, technical configurations, and commercial policies
* Configure guided selling, quote templates, dynamic sections, approval workflows, and document generation (output formats and e-sign)
* Optimize user experience for Sales, Channels, and Partners while ensuring compliance with policy and guardrails
* Integrate SAP CPQ with CRM (Salesforce) ERP (SAP S/4HANA), and SAP Variant Configuration & Pricing (VCP) or S/4 VC/AVC
* Orchestrate APIs, middleware and event/ID mapping; manage master data alignment (materials, pricing, customers)
REQUIREMENTS:
* 4-7+ years in CPQ development (at least 2-3+ years in SAP CPQ), with a strong record of full-cycle implementations
* Hands-on Variant Configuration (VC or AVC) experience: characteristics, classes, object dependencies (procedures, constraints, preconditions, selection conditions), and knowledge base lifecycle
* Proficiency with table-driven rules (e.g., table constraints/table starts), lookup tables, price matrices, and rule evaluation
* Strong pricing fundamentals: list/net pricing, discounting, margin protection, approval levels, and commercial policy enforcement
* Integration experience with CRM and SAP ERP/S/4; comfort with APIs, IDocs, and middleware.
* Solid understanding of data modeling, performance tuning, and governance in CPQ
* Fluency with SDLC, Agile/Scrum, version control, and release management
* Excellent communication skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
* SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Associate - SAP CPQ, SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP S/4HANA for Sales, or VC/AVC training)
* Experience with SAP Variant Configuration & Pricing (VCP) microservice
* Familiarity with document generation (templates, clause libraries), e-sign (DocuSign/Adobe), and approval frameworks
* Experience with complex BOMs, engineer-to-order (ETO), or configure-to-order (CTO) models
* Knowledge of security (roles/permissions), multi currency, multi language, and partner/indirect channel quoting
* Scripting/automation skills for CPQ (JavaScript-like rule syntax where applicable), and SQL for table logic
* Background in manufacturing, high-tech, telecom, or SaaS quoting
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
