Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a XR Researcher for a contract position with a Leading Technology Firm located in Seattle, WA. This is a 2+ month contract opportunity. As a researcher working with XR Tech researchers and scientists, you will have the opportunity to work with advanced technology, including new hardware and software prototypes before they become products. You will help plan and run sessions, set up and debug prototypes, and summarize and perform preliminary analysis of data under the guidance of a principal researcher.
Responsibilities: - Collaborate closely with researchers to plan research and agree on procedures and protocols
- Independently or collaboratively set up prototypes for research sessions
- Help pilot research sessions, test prototypes, and develop study protocol materials
- Independently moderate study sessions according to the research protocol, keeping track of time, and making judgments to guide in-the-moment decisions
- Collect all data necessary during research sessions, summarize insights, and run preliminary analysis on data
Requirements: - BA/BS or higher in a human behavior related field, such as human-computer interaction, psychology, sociology, communication, information science, media studies, computer science, or economics
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time
- Knowledge of best practices for qualitative research and basic quantitative data analysis
- Experience with autonomy and decision-making to balance demands
Pay range: up to $71.93 per hour
