Location: Mission Canyon, CA Salary: $35.00 USD Hourly - $40.00 USD Hourly Description: Our client is currently seeking a Network Support Engineer - Level 2

What this role does

Provide onsite IT support (Smart Hands) in a healthcare environment
Work directly with physical hardware like servers, network equipment, and cabling
Act as the on-site support partner for remote engineering teams
Help install, maintain, troubleshoot, and replace infrastructure equipment

Key Responsibilities (Simplified)

Rack, stack, cable, and organize servers and network gear
Install and troubleshoot routers, switches, and access points
Support basic networking issues (connectivity, VLANs)
Assist during maintenance, upgrades, and migrations
Replace hardware and manage cables/patching
Troubleshoot issues in data centers, IDFs, MDFs, and network closets
Document work and track assets
Coordinate with IT teams and vendors
Follow standard IT and change management processes

Required Experience & Skills

3-6 years in IT infrastructure or Smart Hands support
Experience in enterprise environments
Hands-on with Cisco switches and routers
Strong experience with:
- Cabling and patch panels
- Rack & stack installations
- Data center environments
Basic networking knowledge:
- TCP/IP
- VLANs
- DNS & DHCP
- Switching & routing
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Nice-to-Have (Preferred)

Healthcare IT experience
Cisco CCNA certification
Wireless/network access point experience
Familiarity with Dell, HPE, Cisco UCS servers
Experience supporting remote engineering teams

Ideal Candidate Profile

Hands-on, reliable, and comfortable working with physical IT infrastructure
Strong foundational networking knowledge
Good communicator who can bridge remote teams and onsite needs
Enjoys troubleshooting and working in structured enterprise environments
