Summary
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Security Engineer/Information Governance Analyst to support our healthcare client in Minneapolis. This role will focus on oversight and validation of third-party security tools managed by Optum, ensuring proper stewardship, governance, and operational integrity. The Sr. Security Engineer/Information Governance Analyst will not be configuring tools directly, but will function as a strategic partner, ensuring they are used correctly and securely.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and validate security tools (Splunk, CrowdStrike, SailPoint, R-SIM) managed by Optum to ensure compliance and proper usage.
- Conduct daily risk assessments and internal reviews to identify gaps and inconsistencies.
- Work closely with Optum’s technical team (~35 members) and internal stakeholders (3-person team) to align security strategy and execution.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (Splunk preferred).
- Familiarity with CrowdStrike, SailPoint, and R-SIM.
- Active CISSP, CEH, CCSP, Security+, or CISM security certification.
Preferred
- Exposure to Microsoft Copilot or other AI tools.
- Experience working with outsourced vendor teams.
