RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client is seeking a Change Management Lead to support enterprise-wide transformation initiatives within a higher education environment. This role will lead the planning and execution of change management strategies that enable the successful adoption of new systems, processes, and operating models across academic and administrative units.
Summary:
Working closely with technology, functional leadership, and institutional stakeholders, this individual will help faculty, staff, and administrators navigate change in a complex, mission-driven setting. The ideal candidate brings deep change management expertise, an understanding of higher education culture and governance, and a collaborative approach to driving sustainable adoption.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the development and execution of organizational change management strategies aligned to institutional priorities and digital modernization efforts
* Conduct change impact assessments across academic departments and administrative functions to understand readiness, risk, and stakeholder needs
* Design and deliver communication, engagement, and training strategies tailored to diverse audiences including faculty, staff, and leadership
* Partner with technology, project management, and functional teams to integrate change management activities into enterprise initiatives
* Build and maintain governance structures such as sponsor coalitions, change champions, and feedback forums to support adoption and transparency
* Assess organizational readiness and develop mitigation plans to address resistance, skill gaps, and cultural considerations unique to higher education
* Provide leadership and oversight to change management resources supporting multiple concurrent initiatives
* Define and monitor adoption, proficiency, and impact metrics to measure effectiveness and inform continuous improvement
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Organizational Development, Higher Education Administration, Communications, or a related field
* 5-8 years of progressive experience in organizational change management, including support for large-scale technology or enterprise initiatives
* Proven ability to lead change in complex, matrixed environments with shared governance and multiple stakeholder groups
* Experience partnering with senior leaders to build sponsorship and alignment across academic and administrative communities
* Strong communication, facilitation, and training skills with the ability to adapt messaging for varied audiences
Preferred Qualifications:
* Prosci, CCMP, or PMI-ACP certification
* Direct experience supporting change initiatives within higher education institutions
* Background in digital transformation efforts involving student systems, ERP platforms, academic or administrative process modernization, or enterprise technologies
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
