job summary:

Are you a senior technical expert with a passion for leadership? We're looking for a Desktop Lead to lead our front-line support team from the trenches. This is a 'player-coach' role where you will act as the final escalation point for complex technical hurdles while simultaneously mentoring junior staff and refining our support workflows. We need someone who is as comfortable administering MDM policies and writing scripts as they are presenting performance metrics to stakeholders. If you have a 'no task too small' attitude and a 'big picture' mindset for process improvement we'd love to chat.

work hours: 8am to 5pm

responsibilities:

  • Lead a team desktop technicians and assisting with tasks such as ensuring team KPIs are met.
  • Lead and participate in end-of-day calls for the desktop team.
  • Act as a relationship manager and escalation point for desktop-related issues.
  • Oversee and ensure projects related to desktop team are on track, serving as a coordinator and project manager.
  • Assist with corporate communications, acting as a liaison and voice for the team.
  • Handle day-to-day desktop lead tasks, willing to "roll up sleeves" and be hands on tackling tickets



qualifications:

Proven experience as a Desktop lead or in a similar role, with strong organizational and project management skills.


Experience managing IT support or End User Technology (EUT) teams, including ensuring KPIs and leading team calls.


Ability to act as a relationship manager and escalation point.


Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent a team effectively.


Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
