Manager is looking for 1 candidate who is more experienced (more structured role) and 1 candidate who is less experienced as a PO (lower years of experience or candidates wanting to move into a PO role from a technical role)
Must Have Skills
Event Driven Architecture (EDA)
Knowledge of APIs
Product Owner/Product Manager skills or experience
Application Developer
Experience in a highly regulated industry such as Banking/Financial/Healthcare (governance process)
Experience leading a team
Ability to run a team (leadership)
open to Application Developers wanting to make a switch Product Owner since it is technical role
Responsibilities:
• Analyze and breakdown market problems into prioritized, deliverable stories
• Manage multiple features at once and ensure work gets delivered in prioritized order
• Drive requirements gathering and definition as needed for stories
• Work closely with development teams to deliver stories that add customer value at a regular cadence
• Be involved with all phases of development (analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment)
• Articulates epics and features. Actively works with the team in decomposing epics/features into user stories that are granular enough for the team to estimate and work.
• Evangelizes and communicates product capabilities and roadmap to internal groups as well as externally to clients.
• Prioritizes the product backlog according to business value/ROI during planning
• Establishes business domain knowledge to the team and represent the customers needs.
• Coach and mentor team members
Qualifications:
• Undergraduate Degree
• Experience as a product owner or business analyst designing or developing software
• Strong understanding of capabilities and limitations of programming languages, middleware solutions, application servers and presentation layer tools is a plus, but not required.
