Full Stack JavaScript Developer

Location: Onsite in McLean, VA (primary preference) or Richmond, VA (secondary preference)

We''re seeking an experienced Full Stack JavaScript Developer to join our team and drive the expansion and enhancement of our medium-to-large scale application. In this hands-on role, you''ll collaborate across the full technology stack to deliver robust, scalable solutions that power our platform. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize frontend features using React and Redux for intuitive, responsive user interfaces.
• Build and maintain backend services with Node.js, leveraging AWS Lambda and AWS ECS for efficient, cloud-native infrastructure.
• Manage data persistence and queries with PostgreSQL to ensure reliable performance and data integrity.
• Implement comprehensive testing strategies, including unit tests and end-to-end (E2E) tests using Mocha, Jest, Playwright, and Vitest.
• Tackle ambiguous challenges independently while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality code.
• Contribute to application scaling, refactoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Must-Have Skills & Experience:

• Proficiency in React and Redux for modern frontend development.
• Strong expertise in Node.js for backend API and service development.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda and AWS ECS for serverless and containerized deployments.
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL for database design, optimization, and management.
• Demonstrated testing experience with Mocha, Jest, Playwright, and Vitest (unit and E2E).
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously on complex, ambiguous tasks.
• Proven teamwork and communication abilities in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience scaling medium-to-large applications.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and agile methodologies.
• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
