Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer for a hybrid position (minimum 3 days per week onsite) with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Application Programmer to design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications that support critical business functions. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, analysts, and development teams to deliver high-quality software solutions while ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
Responsibilities: - Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications based on business and technical requirements
- Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices
- Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Perform application enhancements, bug fixes, and production support activities
- Develop and maintain APIs, integrations, and backend services
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Troubleshoot application issues and perform root cause analysis
- Participate in code reviews and ensure compliance with development standards and security requirements
- Maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and operational procedures
- Support application releases, deployments, and post-implementation activities
- Monitor application performance and recommend improvements to optimize efficiency and reliability
- Work in Agile/Scrum environments and actively participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in application development and programming
- Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, or similar technologies
- Primary skills in Spring Boot
- Secondary skills in Angular and Core Java
- Experience with SQL and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- Understanding of application architecture, design patterns, and software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Experience with REST APIs, web services, and system integrations
- Familiarity with source control tools such as Git
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desired skills: - Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with enterprise-grade applications and financial services environments is a plus
Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
