Civil Municipal Engineer

Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Civil Municipal Engineer for its Wayne, New Jersey office. The role focuses on municipal infrastructure projects including roadways, drainage systems, utilities, and other public-sector improvements. Candidates should have at least 3 years of civil or municipal engineering experience, strong hands-on design ability, and experience supporting projects from design through construction. An active Professional Engineer license is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design municipal infrastructure projects including roads, drainage systems, utilities, and related public improvements.
- Prepare engineering plans, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation; support permitting and regulatory submissions.
- Support municipal projects from planning and design through construction and manage technical workstreams across multiple active projects.
- Provide construction support including shop drawing review, contractor questions, RFIs, field conditions, and construction administration.
- Coordinate with municipal clients, agencies, consultants, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
- 3+ years of civil or municipal engineering experience and hands-on municipal infrastructure design experience.
- Experience preparing engineering plans, specifications, and calculations for roadway, drainage, utility, or similar public infrastructure projects.
- Ability to work in person in the Wayne, New Jersey office and manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Technical experience may include AutoCAD
