Description

We are looking for an accomplished Senior OpenShift/Kubernetes Administrator to shape and manage a modern container platform supporting manufacturing operations. In this role, you will guide the architecture, deployment, and ongoing administration of OpenShift environments across on-premises and cloud infrastructure while helping teams adopt secure and scalable platform standards. This position works closely with infrastructure, security, application, and operations partners to deliver reliable orchestration capabilities that support enterprise priorities.

Responsibilities:

Direct the build, configuration, and day-to-day administration of Red Hat OpenShift environments across hybrid infrastructure to maintain stability, security, and performance.

Work with application, infrastructure, security, and manufacturing teams to establish a consistent container platform that simplifies and standardizes workload deployment.

Create and enhance automation using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Helm, and Bash to improve provisioning, configuration management, and repeatability.

Support cloud-native application enablement by collaborating with development, operations, and security stakeholders on platform usage and best practices.

Administer and harden Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems running on enterprise servers to ensure dependable platform operations.

Contribute to platform planning by defining architecture standards for high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, and cost efficiency.

Maintain technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to team members to strengthen operational readiness and platform support.

Own the OpenShift platform roadmap and lead infrastructure initiatives from design through implementation, adoption, and ongoing operations.

Apply container security controls across hybrid and multi-cloud environments to align the platform with enterprise security requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.
At least 10 years of overall IT experience, including 5 or more years in a senior administration role focused on OpenShift or Kubernetes platforms.
Strong expertise in Kubernetes, OpenShift Container Platform, Linux administration, networking, and cloud-based infrastructure.
Hands-on experience with automation and scripting using Bash, Ansible, Terraform, Helm, or comparable tools.
Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools that support containerized application delivery.
Proven ability to lead infrastructure platform programs, establish operating standards, and encourage adoption through clear guidance and self-service capabilities.
Experience designing resilient environments with high availability, disaster recovery planning, and security controls for hybrid or multi-cloud deployments.
Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
