The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $108,000 - $138,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:
Software Engineer - R&D & Sustaining
This is What You Will Do in This Role:
  • Collaborate with internal teams to translate requirements into scalable and robust AGV software solutions.
  • Design, develop, test, and debug software for autonomous vehicle systems, including job sequencing, environmental perception, object detection, motion control, navigation, embedded I/O, graphical user interfaces, and safety systems.
  • Take ownership of assigned software modules, ensuring quality, maintainability, and long-term support.
  • Investigate software issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement durable solutions.
  • Develop and maintain software using Delphi and related tools and frameworks.
  • Support software productization and deployment, working with execution teams to ensure successful software releases.
  • Participate in software release cycles, including development, testing, debugging, and deployment.
  • Integrate new mechatronics technologies into the software stack.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new vehicle development and product improvements.
  • Contribute to software development practices and processes that improve product quality, maintainability, and long-term sustainability.
What We Are Looking For:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in software development or a related role.
  • Proficiency in Delphi or similar object-oriented programming languages.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles, practices, and lifecycle management.
  • Experience with multi-threaded and client-server software architectures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve complex software issues.
  • Ability to develop software with a focus on long-term maintainability, product sustainability, and ease of future development and support.
  • Experience working collaboratively with internal teams and external customers.
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with AGVs, robotics, automation, material handling, or industrial systems is preferred.
  • Experience with robotics, motion control, navigation, or real-time systems is preferred.
  • Experience developing GUIs or working with industrial communication protocols is preferred.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development practices and tools such as JIRA and GitLab is preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
