Job Description:
Design, build, and ship scalable, fault-tolerant backend services and APIs
Build and maintain distributed storage, indexing, and query systems optimized for reliability, cost, and performance
Take loosely-defined, ambiguous problems and translate them into concrete technical solutions with clear implementation plans
Work across the full stack - backend, data layer, and cloud infrastructure - as the work demands
Collaborate with a cross-functional engineering team through sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives
Ship working software on short, iterative development cycles
Required:
We are looking Software Development engineer who has experience with Amazon Builder tools in Amazon Ecosystem and Proficiency in at least one of: Java, Python, Go, or SQL.
Hands-on, production experience with AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, Lambda, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, DynamoDB, CloudFormation).
Experience designing and operating distributed, multi-tiered systems with relational and/or NoSQL databases at scale
Exposure to optimization techniques such as linear or nonlinear programming
Strong ability to communicate technical tradeoffs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Comfortable operating with ambiguity - defining solutions from broadly-scoped requirements rather than executing detailed specifications
