APPLICANTS ON C2C, H1b, or 1099, OR LOOKING FOR REMOTE WORK WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED ***Our Client is seeking a junior Ruby on Rails or Groovy on Grails developer to assist with hands-on development and maintenance of client facing applications. This ideal candidate should enjoy daily problem-solving of software challenges, open to learning new technologies, and thrive in a collaborative team environment as they gather requirements and implement technical solutions.
Candidates must have 3-12 months of total development experience with Ruby, Python, or Groovy and familiarity with any complementary development frameworks. Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL will be highly preferred as well as understanding creation and consumption of APIs and web services.
Other tasks include:
- Write clean and well-documented code
- Participate in code reviews and contribute
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues
- Assist in system upgrades, patches, and performance tuning
- Use any Source Control software tool
