Job Title: Network Engineer Consultant
Client: South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles (SCDMV)

Location:
Blythewood, SC (Onsite No Remote)
Candidates must be residents of SC, NC, or GA and willing to relocate within 40 miles at their own expense

Duration:
Contract (Possibility of Extension: Yes)

Work Hours:
37.5 hours/week (with potential after-hours and weekend support for outages)

The SCDMV is seeking a Network Administrator Consultant to support the Network Operations Center (NOC). The role involves handling complex networking issues, providing technical expertise, and working with minimal supervision while improving daily NOC operations.

• Configure, install, maintain, and upgrade network infrastructure
• Troubleshoot network failures and performance issues
• Perform network analysis, design, and implementation
• Maintain network documentation and diagrams
• Provide troubleshooting and problem resolution support
• Work in a complex, voice-integrated infrastructure environment
• Collaborate across teams and provide knowledge transfer/training

• Manage and support statewide network infrastructure
• Work with technologies including:
  • Cisco / Meraki
  • Palo Alto
  • Fortinet / FortiGate
  • Certes
  • Citrix NetScaler
  • Trellix
• Monitor network performance and ensure optimal connectivity
• Implement updates and security compliance measures
• Follow cybersecurity best practices
