Junior-Mid WPF Software Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in need of a Junior-Mid WPF Software Engineer in Carlsbad, CA.

Responsibilities:
* Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and production software tooling
* Collaborate closely across software, hardware, and firmware teams
* Develop Windows-based GUI applications using modern desktop frameworks
* Build software modules for hardware communication, data storage/retrieval, and data processing
* Apply multi-threading concepts where appropriate (nice to have, not required)
* Produce clear documentation to support design verification and validation

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
* 3+ years of relevant professional experience
* Experience with GUI development, object-oriented programming (C++ or equivalent), algorithms, and computer communications
* Hands-on experience with C#, WPF, XAML, and Microsoft Visual Studio
* Experience working with the .NET Framework and SQL or NoSQL databases
* Strong written, documentation, and verbal communication skills
* A strong willingness to learn, adapt, and expand technical skillsets
* Open to hands-on work with hardware; Medical device experience is a plus, but not required
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, Agile environment
* Proven ability to collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, including electrical, mechanical, and firmware engineers

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience developing software for medical devices
* Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
* Exposure to additional languages such as JavaScript or Python

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
