Summary
Title: Senior Performance Test Engineer
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 months contract
Compensation: $59-65/hr

Overview
The Senior Performance Test Engineer is responsible for the overall performance quality of systems and technology released into production. This includes Performance Testing strategy and planning, script design and development, test execution, results analysis, and metrics reporting. The Sr. Performance Test Engineer ensures systems meet business SLAs and objectives by tracking and reporting performance metrics, identified defects, and communicating issues to development staff.
Responsibilities
- Write testing strategies, test scripts, and conditions to ensure effective performance test coverage
- Execute performance, load, spike, stress, and stability/endurance testing
- Utilize data analytics to determine client usage characteristics and user flows
- Identify test data requirements and work with other teams to create and maintain test data
- Coordinate and schedule testing programs with project and program teams
- Report testing outcomes to project stakeholders
- Lead QA projects and teams; develop expertise in technology stack, business processes, and data exchanges
- Identify, recommend, and implement process improvement opportunities for QA programs
- Stay current on software testing tools and QA best practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years as a Quality Assurance Performance Engineer
- Hands-on experience with performance testing tools: LoadRunner, JMeter
- Experience with monitoring tools: Dynatrace, Datadog, AppDynamics, Splunk, Performance Center, NinjaOne
- Experience with large-scale platform performance testing (SAP, Salesforce, JDA, etc.)
- Strong experience across all phases of the Performance Testing lifecycle (requirements, scripting, execution, analysis)
- Experience with SAP Migration projects and SAP S4/HANA (highly desirable)
- Experience with GitHub
- Experience with AI tools in performance testing (Co-Pilot, Claude)
- Experience with data analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)
- Agile methodology experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Master''s degree or equivalent experience
- Experience with mobile testing tools (Appium, BrowserStack, Headspin)
- Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- Experience in SAFe Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD environments
- Experience executing regression and performance testing for packaged releases on defined timelines
