Summary

Overview

This position is for a Master Data Management (MDM) engineer with deep technical expertise in building, managing, and supporting MDM applications.

This position provides complex technical support to data processing systems through enhancement of related software and processes. Develops software and procedures that improve processing capabilities. Analyzes, codes, tests, and implements in coordination with management, associates, and end users. Serves as production system support by resolving issues and ensuring ongoing functionality. May oversee the work of less experienced analysts or assist in special projects as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Design, development, and deployment of comprehensive MDM solutions across the organization, with an emphasis on financial data domains.
  • Demonstrate extensive experience with multiple MDM implementations, including platform selection, comparison, and optimization.
  • Develop and present end-to-end MDM architectures, ensuring scalability, data quality, and governance standards are met.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reference data sources and develop strategies for managing reference and master data effectively.
  • Implement data integration pipelines leveraging modern data engineering tools and practices.
  • Develop, automate, and maintain data workflows.
  • Develop & maintain ETL Processes

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance

Preferred:
  • Min. 8+ years of total experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of building, maintaining MDM Applications, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Min 5+ years extensive hands-on experience designing and deploying MDM solutions & comparing MDM platforms.
  • Strong functional knowledge data Mastering concepts, reference data sources and domain-specific data standards.
  • Hands on Data engineering skills using SQL, Extract transform & Load (ETL) skills using Informatica/ SSIS or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of database systems and tools to effectively utilized features for MDM implementations.
  • Exposure to 3rd party data providers for MDM integration platforms/vendor solutions
  • Experience with CI/CD practices, tools, and automation pipelines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams to deliver complex data solutions
