Position Summary
Seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead capital projects supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. This individual will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of facility, utility, equipment, and infrastructure projects within a regulated GMP environment. The successful candidate will serve as the primary liaison between Engineering, Facilities, Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, EHS, and external contractors to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
This role requires a hands-on project leader with experience managing construction and engineering projects at pharmaceutical, biotech, biologics, vaccine, sterile manufacturing, or CDMO facilities.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead capital construction and facility improvement projects from concept through commissioning and turnover.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and contractor performance.
• Coordinate cross-functional project teams consisting of Engineering, Facilities, Manufacturing, Validation, Quality Assurance, Automation, and EHS personnel.
• Oversee construction activities within active GMP manufacturing environments while minimizing disruption to operations.
• Manage contractors, subcontractors, engineering firms, and equipment vendors throughout project execution.
• Develop and monitor project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Facilitate project meetings, provide routine status updates, and communicate risks and mitigation strategies to stakeholders.
• Support design reviews, constructability assessments, and project planning activities.
• Coordinate shutdown activities, utility tie-ins, equipment installations, and startup readiness efforts.
• Support Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation (CQV) activities and ensure successful project handoff to operations.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, environmental, and engineering standards.
• Participate in change control, deviation investigations, and risk assessments as required.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to project execution, facility reliability, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor''s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of project management experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, biologics, medical device, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated experience managing capital projects, facility upgrades, equipment installations, or construction projects.
• Experience working within GMP-regulated facilities.
• Strong understanding of project management principles including scope, schedule, cost, and risk management.
• Experience managing contractors, vendors, and engineering service providers.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting sterile manufacturing, aseptic processing, injectable products, biologics, vaccines, or fill-finish operations.
• Familiarity with cleanrooms, HVAC systems, WFI, clean steam, process utilities, and facility infrastructure.
• Experience supporting commissioning, qualification, validation, and startup activities.
• Knowledge of FDA, GMP, and pharmaceutical compliance requirements.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Experience with large-scale capital projects ($1M–$50M+).
• Experience working at pharmaceutical manufacturers, biotech companies, or CDMOs.
