Wireless Network Engineer

Description

We are looking for a skilled Wireless Network Engineer to join our team. This role involves supporting infrastructure modernization initiatives across various sites, with a focus on wireless network deployment and operational technology systems. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in project coordination and network infrastructure upgrades.

Responsibilities:

Plan and implement the deployment of wireless access points and intermediate distribution frames (IDFs).

Collaborate with site teams and contractors to review floor plans, assess network requirements, and coordinate installation activities.

Supervise upgrades to network closets, including switches, racks, firewalls, and power distribution units (PDUs).

Work alongside engineering teams to enhance operational technology networks.

Organize remote planning sessions and oversee weekend cutovers, ensuring readiness and contingency plans are in place.

Verify connectivity for handheld devices, operational technology systems, and other equipment post-deployment.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in wireless network engineering or related roles.
Proficiency in authentication technologies, including LDAP, Kerberos, ADFS, Oauth, and SAML.
Familiarity with public key infrastructure (PKI) systems.
Strong project coordination skills, particularly in network deployment scenarios.
Hands-on experience with wireless infrastructure and operational technology systems.
Ability to manage installation logistics and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Solid troubleshooting skills for post-deployment connectivity validation.
