Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Network Architect to design and lead scalable, secure, and highly available network solutions for large-scale retail and store environments. This role is responsible for the architecture across LAN, WAN, Store Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, 5G, and IoT connectivity. The position focuses on enabling modern and future-ready store networks within a large, distributed enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect end-to-end store network solutions, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, and 5G.
- Lead SD-WAN architecture and migration efforts with a focus on Cisco technologies.
- Design and develop reference architectures and standards for large-scale deployments.
- Support 'Store of the Future' initiatives through the integration of IoT devices.
- Partner with security teams to implement Zero Trust principles and network segmentation.
- Collaborate with store technology, cloud, infrastructure, and product teams.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering and operations teams.
- Support high-severity incident escalations and lead root cause analysis.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 10+ years of experience in network architecture and design, specifically within large-scale distributed networks (hundreds to thousands of sites).
Technical Skills:- Strong expertise in LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi (Store/Branch), and SD-WAN.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies is required.
- Deep knowledge of routing and switching protocols including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and QoS.
- Strong background in network security architecture, including firewalls, segmentation, and VPNs/DNS security.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud-managed networking, such as Cisco Meraki.
- Knowledge of 5G/LTE and IoT connectivity solutions.
- Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Experience with automation tools such as Python, APIs, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP).
