Summary

We are looking for Food Services Supervisor for our client in Boston MA.

Job Title: Food Services Supervisor

Job Location: Boston MA

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $27.95hr - $40.70hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a retail food service setting.
  • Proven ability in customer service skills, team building skills, food safety and sanitation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Competency in human resources functions including training, counseling, conflict resolution, and supervision.
  • Knowledge of computer applications and systems.
  • Ability to follow established fiscal procedures to protect organizational assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the retail food service unit including employee supervision and quality control.
  • Maintain work performance standards, sanitation, and personal hygiene consistent with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and assist shifts with food assembly, preparation, and service for items such as salads, sandwiches, desserts, and fruits.
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and directing all cafe activities and revenue-generating operations.
  • Handle cash and charge requests, totaling customer purchases on a cash register.
  • Respond to inquiries and problems related to food services, personnel issues, policies, and procedures.
  • Train, orient, and appraise performance of staff, utilizing appropriate corrective actions.
  • Oversee serving areas to ensure food temperature, quality, appearance, and portion control meet standards.
  • Perform quality checks on equipment and appliances to ensure proper working condition and coordinate repairs.
  • Participate in the development and monitoring of quality assurance and sanitation procedures.
  • Coordinate health and regulatory inspections.
  • Investigate, resolve, and document complaints or incidents occurring within the unit.
  • Assess food and non-food inventory and adjust needs accordingly.
  • Provide instruction and performance evaluations for interns during rotations.
  • Act as person-in-charge during periods of manager absence.

Physical Requirements(Due to nature of job, The candidate must have):

  • Ability to stand for 100% of shift.
  • Ability to negotiate in a cramped work space.
  • Ability to immerse hands in soap, rinse, and sanitizing solutions.
