DHHSITD requires the services of a specialist in the role of a Senior Salesforce Developer to support efforts across the NC FAST/Green application portfolio.
The Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a contract Senior Salesforce Developer to design and deliver endtoend solutions on Salesforce Government Cloud. This role supports missioncritical publicsector programs across case management, licensing, service operations, and related workflows. The position ensures all solutions align with program objectives, technical standards, security requirements, and longterm platform strategy while leveraging both declarative and programmatic capabilities to build scalable, maintainable systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design and engineering: Lead integration designs, blueprinting and configuration strategies.
Development: Develop Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, OmniScripts, Integration Procedures, DataRaptors, and system integrations following established engineering practices and platform governance.
Discovery and requirements: Lead technical discovery sessions with product owners and program stakeholders to define requirements, evaluate solution options, and recommend bestfit approaches.
Release management readiness: Review Salesforce Spring, Summer, and Winter release notes to identify breaking changes, deprecations, new settings, and feature impacts. Assess how platform updates affect existing systems, integrations, and guide teams through required remediation.
Coordination and communication: Collaborate with vendors, product owners, administrators, QA teams, and business stakeholders to plan and execute updates, enhancements, and cross-team deliverables.
AI-enablement: Apply AIdriven approaches to enhance Salesforce solutions, including identifying practical use cases, incorporating intelligent automation, and ensuring responsible and compliant use of emerging technologies.
Architecture & governance: Enforce Salesforce architectural standards, data models, integration patterns, and development guardrails to ensure longterm maintainability, scalability, and compliance across programs.
Security & compliance: Implement and validate security controls.
