Role: Sr. Azure Consultant -Azure Landing Zone (ALZ)

Mission

We are leading a high-stakes Microsoft tenant consolidation, merging two legacy environments into a pristine, greenfield Azure Landing Zone. This is a "do it right the first time" initiative. We are seeking a Principal-level expert to design and build a scalable, secure, and cost-optimized foundation that will support our identity, security, and future data/Dynamics 365 roadmaps.

Core Responsibilities

Greenfield Landing Zone Design: Lead the architectural design and deployment of an Azure Landing Zone (ALZ) based on the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF).
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Standardize all deployments via Terraform or Bicep. You believe that "if it s not in code, it doesn t exist."
Identity & Security-as-Code: * Partner with our in-house Cyber team to bake Zero Trust principles into the tenant.

Implement Entra ID (Azure AD) governance, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and Conditional Access.

Advanced Subscription & RG Governance: * Architect a Management Group hierarchy that supports Subscription Democratization.

Implement a Resource Group strategy based on lifecycle and RBAC boundaries, ensuring resources that "live and die together" are grouped together.

Embedded FinOps: * Build automated cost-governance from Day 1.

Design Azure Policy to enforce tag inheritance from Resource Groups to resources, ensuring 100% billing transparency and cost attribution.

Networking & Integration Readiness: * Design a secure Hub-and-Spoke topology using Azure Firewall and Private Link.

Prepare the networking and data "plumbing" for future Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Fabric integrations.

Technical Qualifications

Experience: 10+ years in Infrastructure/Systems Engineering; 5+ years of hands-on Azure Architecture.
Consolidation Expertise: Proven track record of leading tenant-to-tenant migrations or greenfield Azure builds at scale.
FinOps Proficiency: Deep understanding of Azure Cost Management, Reserved Instances, and using Policy to prevent "cost leakage."
Security Mindset: Practical experience with CIS Benchmarks, NIST, and implementing Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
Automation Mastery: Expert-level skills in CI/CD (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions) and scripting (PowerShell/Azure CLI).
