Job Title: Change Management Consultant

Job Location: Boston, MA

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $75hr - $80hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Bachelor s degree in Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience developing, leading, and executing change management strategies with proven success in driving readiness and adoption.
  • Change Management Certification such as Prosci, ACMP, CCMP, or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to act as a strategic partner for key stakeholders and business functions.
  • Experience designing and implementing communication, engagement, learning, and training programs.
  • Strong ability to influence sponsors, stakeholders, and project teams.
  • Hands-on experience conducting and interpreting change management assessments such as impact, readiness, and adoption assessments.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Copilot.
Experience:
  • Experience working on medium to large-scale digital, cultural, and process transformation initiatives.
  • Experience partnering with global resources and third parties.
  • Experience with change management tools and platforms such as ADKAR dashboards, survey tools, and AI tools.
  • Experience mentoring and developing other change practitioners.
  • 10+ years of change management experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in a program management office or transformation office preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies preferred.
Responsibilities:
  • Create and execute change management plans for assigned projects using established methodologies.
  • Orchestrate cross-initiative change management strategy and sequence changes effectively.
  • Align change outcomes with business KPIs.
  • Build and maintain trusted partnerships with project and program leadership.
  • Document and obtain approval for the change management scope of work.
  • Tailor change management deliverables based on project complexity.
  • Create and implement change management deliverables including impact assessments, skill gap analysis, learning needs analysis, readiness assessments, adoption assessments, communications, leadership toolkits, and engagement plans.
  • Provide readiness and adoption updates during project meetings and steering committee meetings.
  • Monitor readiness and adoption metrics, feedback, and insights to adjust strategies proactively.
  • Identify and resolve people-related and adoption risks and issues.
  • Create, analyze, and report on change success metrics aligned with project outcomes.
  • Identify and empower change advocates within stakeholder communities.
  • Influence sponsors, stakeholders, and project teams to achieve successful adoption.
  • Coach business stakeholders, people managers, and team members on change management concepts and best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Should Have:
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders and C-suite stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of behavioral science principles in change strategy.
  • Demonstrated success building organizational change capability.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in change management.
  • Ability to frame recommendations, trade-offs, and strategies in complex organizational environments.

  • Master s degree in Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Change Management Certification (Prosci, ACMP, CCMP, or equivalent) required.
