Cloud Automation Engineer 

Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Cloud Automation Engineer for a contract position in Redmond, WA. The opportunity will be two months with a strong chance for a long-term extension.

Position Summary: 
The primary function of this role is to apply computer science and mathematical principles to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of software and systems. This involves researching, designing, developing, and testing operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for a variety of applications including medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific, and general computing. Engage in developing automation for CI/CD pipelines, deploying cloud infrastructure solutions, and automating the development of code and infrastructure in dev, test, and production environments. A strong background in Cloud Engineering is essential for this role.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Modify and deploy existing cloud infrastructure systems.
  • Write and code logical and physical database descriptions, specifying identifiers for database management systems, or direct others in coding descriptions.
  • Collaborate as part of a project team to coordinate infrastructure development and determine project scope and limitations.
  • Review project requests to understand database user needs and estimate the time and cost required to complete the project.


Qualifications:

  • Best vs. Average: The ideal candidate''s resume should highlight extensive Cloud Engineering experience.
  • Remote Work: Flexible work hours are available to accommodate time zone differences (±2-3 hours).
  • Top 3 Must-Have Hard Skills:
    • Cloud Infrastructure - 5 years
    • Python - 5 years
    • API Integration - 3 years
  • A bachelor''s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a relevant field is required.
  • 5-7 years of experience is required.


    Preferred:

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving abilities, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
    • Basic mentoring skills to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
    • Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, from business/systems analysis through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring to development, testing, and delivery.
    • Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve them.
    • Knowledge of computer hardware and software.
    • Familiarity with computer development software as it relates to systems, such as SQL and Visual Basic.
