Overview:
Client is transitioning a large-scale Cisco Unified Communications (CUCM/Call Manager) environment to Microsoft Teams Voice. Looking for a senior-level engineer to maintain platform stability, handle upgrades/patching, and provide escalated troubleshooting support throughout the ~1-year migration effort. This person will also serve as the senior escalation point for a junior engineer handling day-to-day tickets.
Required:
- 7+ years supporting enterprise collaboration/unified communications environments
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM/Call Manager)
- Cisco Unity Connection experience
- Cisco IM & Presence experience (preferred)
- Cisco voice gateways and SIP technologies
- Experience with UC platform upgrades, patching, and lifecycle maintenance
- Strong troubleshooting across voice, telephony, and collaboration technologies
- Knowledge of SIP, PSTN, dial plans, call flows
Preferred:
- Experience with Microsoft Teams Phone/Voice migrations or hybrid Cisco-Teams environments
- Cisco Collaboration certification (CCNP Collaboration, CCIE Collaboration, or equivalent)
- Experience mentoring junior engineers
