Solutions Architect with AWS and Nutanix :: Hybrid--MA/NJ :: W2 Position

Job Title: Solutions Architect (AWS | Nutanix NC2 | Cloud Migration)

Location: Hybrid – Boston, MA (Preferred) or Princeton, NJ (2–3 days onsite per week)

Duration: 6–12 months (Potential extension up to 36 months)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to lead the design, implementation, and migration of enterprise cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS, Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2), cloud migration strategies, infrastructure automation, and enterprise security. This role will partner closely with infrastructure, application, security, and operations teams to architect scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design

• Design enterprise-grade cloud and hybrid solutions using AWS and Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2).
• Develop cloud landing zones, reference architectures, and enterprise architecture standards.
• Build highly available, scalable, resilient, and secure cloud environments.
• Evaluate and recommend cloud platforms, services, and infrastructure technologies.

Cloud Migration

• Lead architecture and planning for on-premises data center migrations to AWS.
• Design hybrid and phased migration strategies using Nutanix NC2.
• Define migration approaches including lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and hybrid deployments.
• Coordinate with application and infrastructure teams to minimize migration risk and downtime.

AWS & Nutanix Engineering

• Design and implement Nutanix solutions including AOS, AHV, and Prism running on AWS.
• Architect networking across on-premises, AWS, and NC2 environments.
• Design connectivity using VPCs, Transit Gateway, VPN, and AWS Direct Connect.
• Optimize workload placement, scalability, and performance.

Infrastructure Automation & DevOps

• Automate infrastructure deployments using Harness.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for cloud infrastructure deployments.
• Promote standardized, reusable, and version-controlled infrastructure.

Security & Identity Management

• Design AWS IAM roles, policies, federation, and least-privilege access models.
• Integrate CyberArk for privileged access management.
• Implement endpoint and workload security using CrowdStrike.
• Ensure cloud security best practices and enterprise compliance standards.

Monitoring & Operations

• Implement centralized monitoring and logging using Splunk and AWS-native services.
• Define operational monitoring, alerting, and incident response strategies.
• Partner with SRE and operations teams to improve platform reliability and observability.

Governance & Compliance

• Establish cloud governance, guardrails, and security controls.
• Ensure solutions comply with audit, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
• Design disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity solutions.

Technical Leadership

• Serve as a trusted advisor for cloud architecture and infrastructure strategy.
• Mentor cloud and infrastructure engineering teams.
• Contribute to architecture standards, technical roadmaps, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Cloud, Infrastructure, or Solutions Architecture.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including:
• EC2
• VPC
• IAM
• S3
• RDS
• EKS
• Transit Gateway
• Direct Connect
• Experience with Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2), AOS, AHV, and Prism.
• Proven experience migrating enterprise workloads from on-premises environments to AWS.
• Hands-on expertise with Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Harness.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, enterprise governance, and compliance.
• Experience integrating Splunk, CyberArk, and CrowdStrike.
• Strong knowledge of hybrid networking and enterprise infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional).
• Nutanix certifications (NCP, NCM, or equivalent).
• Experience supporting Windows and Linux environments.
• Experience in large enterprise or regulated industries.
• Previous consulting or managed services experience.
