Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior SAP S/4HANA Logistics Functional Consultant for a contract position to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in our migration from SAP ECC to S/4HANA, focusing on the logistics and supply chain modules. This functional resource will be responsible for the analysis, design, configuration, and implementation of the target solution, ensuring it aligns with our business requirements and industry best practices. The candidate must have a strong background in logistics, including material master, vendor master, customer master, production scheduling, supply chain logistics, warehouse management, and DFPS, with proven experience in a US Department of Defense (DOD) or Department of War (DOW) environment.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Senior SAP S/4HANA Logistics Functional Consultant will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsibility | Description |
Business Process Analysis and Design | Analyze and document current business processes, identify gaps, and design optimized future-state processes in SAP S/4HANA. |
System Configuration and Implementation | Lead the configuration of SAP S/4HANA in the logistics domain, including Material Master (MM), Vendor Master, Customer Master, Production Scheduling (PP), Supply Chain Logistics, Warehouse Management (WM/EWM), and Defense Forces & Public Security (DFPS). |
Fit-Gap Analysis | Conduct detailed fit-gap analysis between legacy SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA functionalities, proposing solutions and workarounds for identified gaps. |
Data Migration | Support data migration activities, including the extraction, transformation, and loading of master and transactional data from the legacy system to S/4HANA. |
Functional Specifications | Create detailed functional specifications for customizations, interfaces, reports, and enhancements (RICEFW objects). |
Testing | Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT), to ensure the quality and stability of the solution. |
End-User Training and Support | Develop and deliver end-user training materials and provide post-go-live support to ensure a smooth transition and user adoption. |
Stakeholder Collaboration | Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project managers to ensure alignment and successful project delivery. |
Required Skills and Experience
Skill/Experience | Description |
SAP S/4HANA Migration Experience | Minimum of 2 full life-cycle SAP S/4HANA migration projects from SAP ECC. |
Logistics Module Expertise | 10+ years of hands-on functional experience with SAP logistics modules, including Material Master, Vendor Master, and Customer Master. |
Production Scheduling and Supply Chain | In-depth knowledge and configuration experience in Production Scheduling (PP) and Supply Chain Logistics. |
Warehouse Management | Proven experience with SAP Warehouse Management (WM) and/or Extended Warehouse Management (EWM). |
DFPS Expertise | Hands-on experience with the SAP Defense Forces & Public Security (DFPS) solution. |
US DOD/DOW Experience | Verifiable experience working in a US Department of Defense (DOD) or Department of War (DOW) environment. |
Communication Skills | Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams. |
Required Qualifications:
- with active security clearance
- SAP S/4HANA certification in a relevant logistics module.
- CompTIA Security+
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with the SAP Activate methodology.
- Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project delivery models.
- Basic knowledge of ABAP debugging.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
