About the RoleSupport the AML Operations team by validating STRs (Suspicious Transaction Reports) submissions). This is a back-office role focused on accuracy, completeness, and data quality-no customer-facing work and no independent ML determinations.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:- Validate STR submissions for accuracy and completeness
- Verify all mandatory fields are present and correctly populated
- Cross-check source data and supporting documentation against STR details
- Ensure submissions meet internal standards and regulatory requirements
- Review failed or flagged STR submissions in the case management queue
- Identify and resolve missing mandatory fields
- Address data quality issues or source-data gaps
- Confirm corrections are applied prior to resubmission
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality checklists
- Maintain clear, concise notes and audit-ready documentation in the case system
- Escalate discrepancies or systemic data issues per escalation protocol
- Uphold confidentiality and data handling standards at all times
Qualifications Required:- Post-secondary diploma/degree in business, finance, criminology, data/operations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 0-1 year experience in operations, data entry/quality control, or compliance support (co-op/internship experience welcome)
- Familiarity with AML concepts and STR reporting is an asset (training provided)
- Comfortable working with case management tools and spreadsheets
