Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Java Full Stack Engineer with AI/GenAI experience to join our engineering team in Bellevue, WA. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience building scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, React, Kafka, Python, REST APIs, and microservices, along with practical experience leveraging AI coding tools, AI agents, Foundation Models, and RAG.

FAANG or strong product-based company experience is highly preferred.

• Strong experience designing and developing scalable, highly available applications

• Hands-on experience with event-driven and message-based architectures

• Experience building responsive, accessible, and performant UI applications using React

• Experience developing scalable RESTful APIs and microservices using Java/Spring Boot

• Experience with automated UI/E2E testing using Playwright or equivalent

• Strong understanding of CI/CD, automation, deployment, and production support

AI / GenAI Requirements

• Practical experience with Generative AI / AI-assisted software development

• Daily hands-on use of AI productivity tools such as Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent

• Experience building or integrating AI agents

• Experience with Foundation Models / LLMs

• Knowledge of Prompt Engineering

• Experience implementing RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)

• Ability to integrate AI capabilities into backend services and REST APIs

• Experience using AI to support code generation, testing, debugging, code review, documentation, and production troubleshooting

• Experience building AI agents that automate software engineering activities such as:

  • Microservice/code generation

  • Unit and API test generation

  • Log analysis

  • Incident triage

  • CI/CD automation

  • Production support

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, React, and Python

• Build and maintain high-performance REST APIs and microservices

• Design and implement Kafka-based event-driven architectures

• Develop end-to-end features across UI, API, and data layers

• Build automated UI and end-to-end test suites

• Develop scalable ETL frameworks using Java and Python

• Contribute to application and system architecture

• Troubleshoot complex development and production issues

• Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation

• Build and operate production-grade AI agents

• Integrate LLM/Foundation Model capabilities into enterprise applications

• Implement RAG-based AI solutions

• Support observability, audit logging, and human-in-the-loop controls for AI systems

• Collaborate with product, architecture, data, privacy, and engineering teams

• Create technical design documents and system specifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience

• Experience working in FAANG or product-based organizations

• Strong Agile/Scrum experience

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

• Experience working on highly scalable, secure, and production-grade systems

• Experience with cloud platforms and modern DevOps practices is a plus
