Senior AI Agentics Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Spring, TX that is seeking a Senior AI Agentics Engineer who will design, build, and operate production-grade agentic AI systems that automate complex enterprise processes. This role combines LLM engineering, distributed systems, and applied ML to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure AI solutions - not prototypes.

Key Responsibilities:
* Architect and deploy end-to-end agentic systems using LLMs, tools, memory, and multi-agent workflows
* Build tool-integrated agents leveraging APIs, databases, and enterprise systems (ERP, Databricks, Airflow, Azure Data Factory)
* Design and optimize RAG pipelines (ingestion, embeddings, vector DBs, retrieval strategies) to improve accuracy and reduce hallucination
* Evaluate and select LLMs (GPT, Claude, Llama, etc.); Optimize prompts, structured outputs, and agent behavior
* Implement evaluation frameworks covering accuracy, latency, cost, and failure modes
* Build observability, monitoring, and governance for responsible AI (privacy, security, auditability)
* Deploy on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform) with Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD, and LLMOps best practices
* Collaborate cross-functionally; mentor engineers; contribute to AI strategy and standards

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in data science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or other relevant field with relevant experience
* Master's degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or other relevant field
* 3 years of work experience as an AI Agentic Engineer and over 7 years of experience in Data Science, Gen AI, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering or other relevant field with relevant experience
* Proven experience delivering production-scale agentic AI systems
* Hands-on with frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel)
* Strong expertise in RAG, embeddings, and vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, etc.)
* Advanced Python and experience building APIs/microservices
* Experience with cloud AI platforms and containerized deployments
* Scalable, reliable AI systems driving measurable automation and efficiency
* Strong governance, observability, and cost-optimized performance
* Knowledge of LLMOps, evaluation, and enterprise security/compliance (PII, RBAC, audit logging)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
