Director - IT Digital

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Lake Forest, IL that is seeking a Director - IT Digital responsible for leading large-scale digital delivery efforts across multiple teams and initiatives. Focus is on reliable execution, strong technical decision-making, and ensuring digital solutions support business priorities.

Responsibilities:
* Lead end-to-end delivery of digital initiatives across multiple workstreams, ensuring consistent execution, clear ownership, and alignment to defined outcomes
* Oversee the delivery of customer-facing digital experiences, including portals, enrollment and servicing workflows, and mobile-responsive interfaces
* Monitor delivery risks, dependencies, and issues, serving as a point of escalation and driving timely resolution
* Provide clear status, risk visibility, and delivery insights to leadership and stakeholders
* Review and guide solution designs, including experience flows, wireframes, architecture diagrams, and integration approaches
* Act as a senior technical leader, ensuring solutions meet expectations for performance, security, scalability, accessibility, and maintainability
* Promote modern engineering practices such as reusable front-end architectures, API-first and event-driven designs, cloud-native platforms, CI/CD automation, and observability
* Support the adoption of AI and automation capabilities, including chat-based interfaces, guided workflows, personalization, OCR, and process automation
* Evaluate and introduce emerging technologies where they add practical value to delivery, quality, or user experience
* Lead and develop delivery and engineering leaders, setting clear expectations and fostering accountability
* Oversee work delivered by systems integrator and vendor partners, ensuring quality standards, timelines, and delivery commitments are met
* Build strong working relationships across technology, design, and business teams

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
* 12+ years of experience in digital delivery, engineering leadership, or large-scale technology transformation
* Experience delivering work in agile or scaled-agile environments
* Proven ability to manage vendor and partner relationships with accountability for delivery and quality
* Strong understanding of modern digital platforms, cloud technologies, and automation or AI-enabled solutions
* Technical fluency with modern frameworks and platforms (e.g., React, component-based front ends, design systems, API-based integrations)
* Demonstrated people leadership experience
* Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
