Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Solutions Coordinator to support the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD). This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering enterprise telecommunications, network, voice, mobility, audiovisual, and infrastructure projects across multiple agency facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong project management expertise, hands-on experience with telecommunications and network infrastructure, and the ability to coordinate vendors, stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
<>Technology Planning & Project Management>- Plan, coordinate, and manage telecommunications, network, voice, and infrastructure modernization projects.
- Develop project plans, schedules, milestones, resource allocations, and implementation strategies.
- Monitor project risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations.
- Coordinate project activities across multiple facilities and stakeholder groups.
- Prepare and present project status reports to leadership.
- Support infrastructure upgrade initiatives involving:
- Voice Services (VoIP/HVS)
- Data Networks
- Wireless Infrastructure
- Fiber Optic & Structured Cabling
- Public Address Systems
- HVAC Monitoring Systems
- Fire Alarm Infrastructure
- Cisco Endpoint Refresh Programs
- Assist with the implementation of emerging technologies and enterprise infrastructure enhancements.
- Coordinate VoIP/HVS modernization and migration projects.
- Conduct site assessments, inventory reviews, equipment staging, deployment, and migration activities.
- Ensure successful transition from legacy voice systems to modern platforms.
- Coordinate activities with telecommunications carriers and technology vendors.
- Monitor vendor performance, deliverables, and contractual commitments.
- Participate in technology evaluations and vendor selection processes.
- Oversee technology asset inventory and reconciliation.
- Ensure infrastructure assets are accurately documented in asset management systems.
- Coordinate equipment lifecycle management and technology refresh initiatives.
- Support enterprise-wide technology initiatives.
- Coordinate network integration and infrastructure enhancement projects.
- Contribute to strategic technology planning across the agency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor''s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- PMP Certification.
- 5+ years of project/program management experience.
- 5+ years of experience managing telecommunications, network, and infrastructure projects.
- 5+ years of vendor management experience.
- 5+ years of experience with VoIP, networking, wireless technologies, and enterprise infrastructure.
- Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
