Core profile: Senior Data Analyst who can independently dig into complex data, understand what is happening, and tell the business story behind it.
SQL is important, along with strong quantitative/data analysis skills; this cannot be someone dependent on others to perform the analysis.
Resourcefulness and independence are critical?the strongest candidates can take an unfamiliar problem or dataset and figure out how to get to the answer.
Look for candidates who identify trends, investigate anomalies/root causes, interpret results, and use findings to support decisions?not candidates who primarily prepare/move data.
Healthcare/PBM/pharmacy experience is a plus, not a requirement; a strong financial/transactional analyst with the right analytical intelligence can absolutely fit.
Candidates should be capable of understanding, maintaining, and enhancing existing analytical models/business logic, but advanced statistical/predictive modeling is not required.
Google Cloud Platform/BigQuery and Alteryx are preferred, not required; Python is also useful.
Near-term work is focused heavily on deep current-state analysis and improving existing workflows while the broader GPO initiative continues to mature.
This is not a traditional BA, reporting/visualization, Data Engineering, or Data Science role.
Best candidates combine technical capability + curiosity/resourcefulness + deep analytical thinking + storytelling.
