Cable Technicians - Level 1 & Level 2

Location: West Valley - Litchfield Park, AZ
Client: E2 Optics
Project Duration: Approx. 8 weeks (Contract; not guaranteed contract-to-hire)
Work Environment: Data centers & new-construction sites
Start Date: March 29, 2026

Overview

E2 Optics is seeking skilled Cable Technicians to support multiple data center build-outs in the West Phoenix area. Technicians will assist with structured cabling tasks including OSP work, cable routing, installation, terminations, testing, and general low-voltage support for ongoing construction scopes.

Technician Level 1 Requirements

Experience: 1-2 years structured cabling experience
Core Skills:

• Running and terminating CAT5 & CAT6 cabling
• Exposure to fiber; basic termination required (fiber splicing a plus)
• Ability to perform cable pulls, labeling, punchdowns, and testing
• Comfort working in commercial construction environments

Certifications:

• Must have OSHA 10 or be willing to obtain within 1 week

Pay Range: $18-$25/hr, depending on experience

Technician Level 2 Requirements

Experience: Minimum 2 years structured cabling & low-voltage installation experience
Core Skills:

• All Level 1 skills at an advanced proficiency
• Fiber installation, troubleshooting, and (preferred) splicing
• Experience reading pathways, construction drawings, and following build standards
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and mentor junior techs

Pay Range: $26-$31/hr, depending on experience
Certifications:

• Must have OSHA 10 or be willing to obtain within 1 week

General Responsibilities (Both Levels)

• Perform cable pulls, installation, terminations, punchdowns, and testing
• Support OSP work as assigned
• Follow safety procedures and project quality standards
• Work alongside construction managers, site leads, and field teams to complete daily scopes

Additional Requirements

• Must pass pre-employment drug screening
• Pre-employment BG check
• On-site role; no remote option
• Commercial construction or data center experience preferred

This is a Contract position based out of Litchfield Park, AZ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
