Senior QA (Manual + Automation)

Description
We're looking for dedicated Quality Assurance (QA) support on the expansion, release, and ongoing maintenance of the proprietary Diagnostic tool.
Key responsibilities include executing a range of essential testing activities to guarantee the tool's stability, accuracy, efficiency, and readiness for end-users.
Experience with embedded devices is a plus.
Required Technical Skills
Test Strategy & Hands-On Execution: Expert ability to design a comprehensive test strategy (API, E2E automation, and exploratory manual) and execute hands-on testing, ensuring maximum coverage as the sole QA resource.
Test Automation Frameworks: Expert proficiency in developing, maintaining, and scaling robust test automation frameworks using industry-standard tools (e.g., Playwright) for web/mobile applications and API testing tools (e.g., Postman).
CI/CD Integration: Configure and maintain automated tests as mandatory quality gates (e.g., unit, integration, and E2E) that block deployment upon failure, ensuring quality is baked into the CI/CD pipeline.
Agile and Collaboration: Proficiency in Agile methodologies, including defining Definition of Done (DoD) and participating in code reviews.
Performance Testing: Ability to design and execute basic performance tests (load, stress) to assess system resilience.
Project Responsibilities
Lead and Execute Test Strategy: Take full ownership of the end-to-end testing strategy and execution, balancing manual and automated testing to meet project goals as the sole QA resource.
Automation Framework Ownership: Implement, stabilize, and maintain the API and E2E automation frameworks for long-term project stability and scalability.
Proactive Quality Assurance: Champion the "quality is a shared responsibility" mindset; actively collaborate on sprint planning, define acceptance criteria, and conduct code reviews to shift quality left.
Product Focus: Prioritize testing based on business risk and user impact, ensuring critical flows align with product goals.
Defect & Standards Management: Ensure rigorous defect tracking and adherence to established development and quality standards.
Continuous Improvement & Efficiency: Maintain automation stability, integrate AI-Powered QA Tooling, and provide actionable metrics for process improvement.
Deliverables
Tested Diagnostic Flows: Verified functionality and success of all Diagnostic tool components and user paths.
Validated Integrations: Confirmed stability and accurate data exchange with the CMS and external APIs.
Launch Readiness Sign-Off: Formal approval (Go/No-Go) of the product's stability for release to production.
Automation Test Suite: A complete, functional API and E2E automation suite serving as the regression shield.
Defect Data & RCA: Summary of all defects and insights into the root causes for process improvement.
Skills
Playwright automation, API testing, End-to-end testing, General understanding of hardware/device hookups, Familiarity with diagnostic or monitoring platforms

The pay range for this position is $8000.00 - $9000.00/hr.
