Job Description
Basic Qualifications:
BS in Mechanical Engineering and minimum from an accredited
university and 2 years of related experience, or a Master's STEM
Degree and 1 years of related experience, or 0 years of experience
with a PhD.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Current active US DoD Secret Security clearance is required.
Ability to support an in-office / closed-area work environment full
time.
Ability to travel at least 10%
Ability to be a self-starter, team player, able to multi-task, able to
generate quality work products independently, able to make excellent
judgement and show interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate data in a clear and concise manner.
Must be able to work independently, function in a dynamic
environment, and be flexible to changing direction.
2 years of recent design experience using a 3D CAD Package such as
SolidWorks, Creo, or NX
Experience drafting & reviewing 2D mechanical drawings per
ASME standards.
Prior experience with engineering PLM systems such as Teamcenter
and MRP system such as SAP.
Experience in evaluating vendor documents to ensure specifications
and datasheet meets requirements.
Familiarity with MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-1366, MIL-STD-1472,
ASME Y14.5, ASME Y14.100, MIL-STD-31000, MIL-STD-461
Experience evaluating commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and military
parts for compliance to meet requirements
Proficiency with Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word,
Access, Outlook, Team, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding and application of industry engineering technical
standards; demonstrated experience in structural design and impact
assessments.
Experience with Agile or Kanban workflow, including tools such as
Jira
Familiarity with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Core Standards:
MDA-QS-001-MAP, MDA-QS-003-PMAP, MDA Instruction
5000.20-INS (ETR Process)
Hands-on mentality and a passion for fast-paced environments.
Experience with full product development workflow, initial design,
analysis, revision, release, production.
