Software Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer with 1–3 years of professional experience to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in software development, programming, and application design, along with hands-on experience or familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI technologies.

In this role, you will contribute to building scalable software applications, integrating AI-powered capabilities, developing backend services, and implementing innovative technical solutions. You will collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality software that addresses real-world business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications.

• Build and integrate AI-powered features using Large Language Models (LLMs), OpenAI APIs, and other AI services.

• Develop backend services, REST APIs, and application components using Python, Java, or similar programming languages.

• Implement AI application workflows involving prompt engineering, embeddings, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).

• Integrate AI models and third-party APIs into existing software systems.

• Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-tested code.

• Work with databases, data processing pipelines, and vector search technologies.

• Evaluate AI-generated outputs and improve application accuracy, reliability, and performance.

• Troubleshoot software issues, debug applications, and optimise system performance.

• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and Agile development activities.

• Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and data teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Support application deployment, monitoring, testing, and continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications

• 1–3 years of professional experience in Software Engineering, Software Development, or a related technical field.

• Proficiency in Python, Java, or another modern programming language.

• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and software design principles.

• Experience developing software applications, backend services, or REST APIs.

• Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Generative AI concepts.

• Understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI API integration.

• Knowledge of SQL, databases, and version control systems such as Git.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with OpenAI APIs, Anthropic APIs, or other LLM platforms.

• Familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph, or LlamaIndex.

• Knowledge of RAG pipelines, vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search.

• Experience with FastAPI, Flask, Spring Boot, or similar backend frameworks.

• Exposure to AI agents, intelligent automation, or AI-powered workflow development.

• Familiarity with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and application deployment.

• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or vector database technologies.
