The IT Field Services Technician is responsible for the design, management, and support of moderate to complex systems with general supervision. Areas of responsibility include core operating systems (Macintosh and Windows), software distribution, and anti-virus solutions.
This role provides direct technical support for supported computing systems and software with limited direction. Responsibilities include monitoring and resolving issues related to supported devices and applications, including computers, monitors, printers, handheld devices, scanners, and standard desktop software applications.
Essential Job Functions- Manage support tickets for Windows and Macintosh software/applications and hardware
- Provide assistance to ensure timely resolution and adherence to established SLAs
- Resolve service requests from the incident tracking system in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner using remote tools when possible
- Perform on-site visits to install or update hardware and applications, and complete quality assurance or assessment activities
- Document root causes and solutions, contributing to knowledge management systems
- Maintain accurate records of all end-user device assets
- Collaborate effectively within the team and across the enterprise to support IT service integration
- Provide feedback to engineering teams to improve system performance, stability, and reliability
- Demonstrate strong understanding of help desk services, processes, and procedures
- Mentor and support less experienced team members
- Work with internal teams and vendors to restore services and resolve complex issues
- Model strong customer service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Assist help desk staff to support first-call resolution when applicable
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support
- Provide specialized user support, including executive support when required
- Deliver hardware and software consultations to end users
- Partner with other IT teams to resolve complex technical issues
- Perform additional duties and participate in special projects as assigned

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
