Job Description

We are looking for experienced Senior/Lead Data Engineers with strong hands-on experience in Snowflake, AWS, Snowflake Cortex, and Amazon Bedrock to support highly available data and Generative AI platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, reliability, monitoring, automation, and production support, along with experience supporting AI/ML and GenAI workloads.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, monitor, and maintain highly available AWS, Snowflake, and GenAI platforms.
  • Support Snowflake Cortex capabilities for AI/ML and Generative AI workloads.
  • Work with Amazon Bedrock to integrate and operate foundation models and GenAI applications.
  • Monitor infrastructure, applications, data pipelines, APIs, and AI workloads.
  • Define and monitor SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs for critical services.
  • Implement observability using AWS CloudWatch, logs, metrics, traces, and alerting.
  • Troubleshoot production incidents and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Participate in production support and incident management.
  • Automate operational activities using Python, Shell scripting, Terraform, and AWS services.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application, data, and AI workloads.
  • Optimize Snowflake compute usage, query performance, warehouse utilization, and costs.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Snowflake data pipelines and workloads.
  • Support AWS services including S3, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, and Secrets Manager.
  • Implement security, access controls, encryption, secrets management, and least-privilege IAM.
  • Monitor reliability and performance of LLM/GenAI applications using Amazon Bedrock.
  • Track AI application metrics including latency, throughput, errors, token usage, and cost.
  • Establish automated health checks, alerts, recovery mechanisms, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers, ML Engineers, Developers, Architects, Product Managers, and business stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve platform reliability through automation, observability, capacity planning, and performance engineering.

Required Skills

  • 7–11 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or related roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake.
  • Experience with Snowflake Cortex.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock / Generative AI.
  • Strong AWS experience with services such as S3, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, and Secrets Manager.
  • Strong Python and/or Shell scripting skills.
  • Experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of monitoring, observability, alerting, incident management, and RCA.
  • Experience with Snowflake performance tuning, workload optimization, and cost management.
  • Experience supporting production data pipelines and cloud platforms.
  • Understanding of security, IAM, encryption, secrets management, and least-privilege access.
  • Experience supporting AI/ML or GenAI workloads is highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience monitoring LLM/GenAI applications.
  • Experience with Bedrock foundation models and GenAI integrations.
  • Experience with AI application metrics such as token consumption, latency, throughput, error rates, and cost.
  • Experience establishing SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs.
  • Experience with disaster recovery, high availability, and capacity planning.
