Java Backend developer (with hands-on in kotlin)

Role: Java Backend developer (with hands-on in kotlin)

Location: Phoenix, Az

Expertise with Java/J2EE, Springboot, Kotlin,

Expertise with building RESTful APIs

Thorough understanding of JSON, Web Service technologies, and data structure fundamentals

Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases

Confirmed experience with object-oriented design and coding with variety of languages

Should have knowledge on Agentic AI

Knowledge on code quality parameters and GIT branching concepts.

Knowledge on SQL and NoSQL databases (Oracle/DB2, Cassandra / Couchbase).

Knowledge of Automated testing concepts using Selenium, REST Assured, Cucumber and CI/CD concepts with and exposure to tools such as Jenkins, Nexus, Maven, GIT.

Expertise in agile life-cycle management tools (JIRA/Rally), software testing standards, methods and conventions.

Roles & Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, architect solutions, and implement features that meet business needs.

Optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, and reliability, ensuring smooth operation under high load.

Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment automation.

Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior engineers to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Troubleshoot and debug production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.

Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluations new tools and frameworks to improve efficiency and productivity.

Work closely with DevOps teams to deploy and manage backend services in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Collaborate with frontend engineers to define API contracts and ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend systems.
