Location: Reston, VA (Onsite) - Priority | Plano, TX (Onsite) - Secondary (3 Days onsite)

Job Type: 12 months contract

Work Model: Hybrid 3 days





Role Summary



We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with strong OpenText Documentum expertise to join a dynamic engineering team. This is a hands-on development role focused on building custom applications, enhancing Documentum-based solutions, and developing robust system integrations.



This is not an administrative or support role the position emphasizes core development, API integrations, and backend engineering within a SaaS-driven ecosystem where infrastructure management (installations, upgrades, patching) is handled by the vendor.





Key Responsibilities





Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications using Spring Boot and related frameworks

Build and manage API integrations (internal and external systems)

Develop and customize solutions within the OpenText Documentum platform

Work on Documentum D2 Classic UI configurations, requiring code-level customization

Implement and maintain backend integrations leveraging AWS services

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and high-performing solutions

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across application and integration layers

Ensure best practices in coding, testing, and deployment







Required Skills (Must-Have)





7+ years of hands-on experience with OpenText Documentum (development-focused)

Strong expertise in:



Documentum Content Server

D2 Config

D2 Classic

DFC (Documentum Foundation Classes)





Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks

Strong experience in API development and system integrations

Solid understanding of Documentum internals and architecture

Experience working with modern Documentum versions (23.2 or higher preferred)







Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have)





Experience with AWS services, including:

Familiarity with Python
