Summary

Join customers team specializing in IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM) microservices. You'll be integral to the delivery and maintenance of high-volume, cloud-connected lab automation with large volume of annual tests and complex real-time rule execution managed via scalable Java services. This role combines deep technical ownership of ODM rules, microservices architecture, production system reliability, and production data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain IBM ODM-based microservices for laboratory workflow automation and clinical validation
  • Integrate ODM decision services with Java APIs and cloud-native platforms to support millions of daily lab transactions.
  • Provide end-to-end production support, including investigation and resolution of incidents, system monitoring, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
  • Analyze production data for trends and anomalies; generate actionable insights for performance optimization and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and business teams to evolve lab business rules and optimize system scalability.
  • Support deployment, versioning, and reliability of rule execution across distributed lab environments.
  • Develop and update technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles for production support.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, contribute to sprint planning, and support ongoing DevOps automation.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and data governance throughout rule lifecycle and production operations.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years' experience with IBM ODM, business rule management systems, and microservices architectures.
  • Proficiency in Java, understanding of cloud-native API integration, and experience with system monitoring tools.
  • Track record of supporting production systems in fast-paced, high-volume environments preferably healthcare or clinical labs.
  • Advanced troubleshooting, production incident management, and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with data analysis techniques and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Preferred

  • Experience in clinical laboratory systems or large-scale healthcare data environments.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance (HIPAA, CLIA).
  • Working knowledge of SQL and data lake platforms.
