Data Engineering & AI Workflow Specialist

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in New York, NY seeking a Data Engineering & AI Workflow Specialist to join their team. They are seeking support in building and enhancing data processing pipelines and AI-driven workflows. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and optimizing ETL processes while contributing to the development and operationalization of AI solutions within an enterprise environment. The ideal candidate combines strong data engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience in modern AI development workflows, including integration into business processes.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL data pipelines to ingest, transform, and deliver data across systems
* Work with structured and unstructured data sources to support downstream analytics and AI use cases
* Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate AI-driven solutions into existing platforms
* Develop and refine AI development workflows, including experimentation, evaluation, and deployment support
* Support data preparation, feature engineering, and validation for AI/ML models
* Ensure data quality, consistency, and performance across pipelines
* Assist in automating processes and improving operational efficiency
* Document technical designs, workflows, and implementation details for maintainability and handoff

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong experience with ETL/data processing (Python)
* Experience building and maintaining data pipelines in cloud or distributed environments
* Familiarity with AI/ML development workflows
* Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
* Ability to work with large datasets and optimize performance

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
