Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our growing design team and take ownership of structural analysis and design for a diverse portfolio of projects. In this role, you will work closely with structural leads, engineers, and multidisciplinary project teams to develop design concepts, perform structural calculations, and coordinate deliverables across design documents and models.
This is a key technical role for a self-motivated professional who possesses a solid foundation in structural engineering fundamentals and lateral design. You will exercise independent engineering judgment, ensure rigorous quality control, check calculations, and provide technical guidance to junior staff. If you are a detail-oriented engineer looking for an environment with strong career growth potential, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
Structural Analysis & Design
Engineering Execution: Competently perform all conventional aspects of structural engineering analysis, design, and evaluation under general supervision.
Lateral Analysis: Apply principles and practices of lateral analysis and design for wind and seismic forces, ensuring full compliance with required building code provisions.
Independent Evaluation: Plan and conduct work requiring sound engineering judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of structural techniques and criteria.

Quality Control & Project Ownership
Ownership & Delivery: Take complete ownership of your assigned structural scope, managing your workload to meet strict schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
Calculation Checking: Exhibit high attention to detail, perform thorough self-checks, and execute calculation reviews for other engineers' work.
Scope & Collaboration: Work proactively to identify scope changes, define effort levels, and collaborate smoothly with drafting, architectural, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Technical Leadership
Mentorship: Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to less experienced engineers and drafters/designers.
Process Advancement: Embrace emerging technologies and proactively contribute to the advancement of workflows, systems, and tools within the structural discipline.

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering (with an emphasis in Structural Engineering).
Licensure: Active Professional Engineer (PE) License.
Experience Baseline: Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in structural engineering design.
Code & Standards Expertise: Demonstrated experience with US building codes and standards, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.
Technical Software: Proficiency in structural engineering analysis software, along with collaboration and review tools like Navisworks and Bluebeam.
Material Design: Proven experience designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures.
Core Competencies: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.

Preferred Attributes
Master of Science (MS) degree in Civil Engineering (Structural emphasis) or a dedicated MS in Structural Engineering.
Professional experience designing industrial, manufacturing, or complex commercial facilities.
Prior experience leading small project teams or coordinating discipline workflows.
