The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Data Integration & Systems Analyst to join the team responsible for internal Tax applications. These are critical applications that aggregate financial information from the firm's primary ledgers (e.g., Financial Full Suite, Pearl) and referential data sources (e.g., DSMT, AMC, SMC, PMC). The ideal candidate will act as a subject matter expert for the application's data, ensuring its integrity, quality, and proper integration. This role is central to managing the data lifecycle, from upstream provider changes to downstream implementation, safeguarding the application's stability and reliability for our users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Upstream Data Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison with upstream data providers. Proactively engage with these teams to understand, coordinate, and schedule upcoming data or schema changes.
  • Impact Assessment: Analyze proposed changes from upstream systems to determine the potential impact on Tax application's data processing, reporting, and user functions.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Perform in-depth data quality analysis on incoming data feeds before upstream changes are implemented. Develop and enforce data quality standards to prevent negative impacts on our application.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Clearly and promptly communicate upcoming changes, potential impacts, and project timelines to all business and technical stakeholders.
  • ETL Development Guidance: Collaborate closely with the Abinitio ETL development team. Translate business and data requirements into technical specifications, providing clear guidance for implementing upstream changes, onboarding new data feeds, and resolving data-related issues.
  • Domain Expertise: Leverage a deep understanding of financial data, including general ledger systems, accounting principles and lifecycles, adjustments, and data load cycles, to guide project decisions and troubleshooting.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Required:
    • 6+ years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role
    • Proven experience in a data-centric role such as Data Steward, Data Analyst, or Systems Analyst within the financial industry.
    • Deep understanding of general ledger systems, financial reporting, and core accounting concepts.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data schemas and data flows.
    • Experience assessing and managing data quality.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and coordinate with multiple teams and stakeholders.
    • Experience guiding or working with ETL development teams.
    • Experience with relational data models and SQL.
  • Highly Desirable:
    • Hands-on experience with Abinitio or similar ETL tools.
    • Familiarity with specific financial systems like Financial Full Suite, Pearl, or DSMT.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred
