Job Title: Engineering Manager (Mern Stack)

Location: Remote, travel based on needs

Job Description

Strong MERN stack experience, with exposure to DevOps, deployment practices, Istio, Kafka, and Liquibase preferred.
Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as Claude and SDD practices is preferred.
Own end-to-end software delivery from planning and design through development, testing, deployment, and production readiness.
Build, lead, and develop high-performing engineering teams, including coaching technical leads and engineers.
Partner with Architects to ensure alignment with solution architecture and modern engineering standards.
Drive modernization using cloud-native, API-first, event-driven, CI/CD, DevSecOps, automation, and observability practices.
Manage delivery plans, priorities, dependencies, technical debt, risks, and engineering blockers.
Ensure high standards for code quality, security, performance, scalability, reliability, and resilience.
Coordinate across Business, Architecture, Platform, SRE, Security, and dependent engineering teams.
Drive production readiness and ensure smooth migration from legacy to modern platforms.
Provide transparent communication on delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and engineering health.
Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.

Required Experience

Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or similar engineering leadership role.
Strong software engineering and technical leadership background.
Experience with application modernization, cloud platforms, APIs/microservices, CI/CD, and DevSecOps.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-team software delivery.
Strong people leadership, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
