UI/UX Designer

Summary

A leading media company in Stamford, CT, is seeking a UI/UX Designer for a long-term contract role, focusing on transforming complex legacy user interfaces into modern experiences. Experience in streaming media is highly preferred.

About the Opportunity:

Assignment Length: Ongoing

Setting: Hybrid (4 days a week)

Responsibilities:

Designing and implementing standardized user interface frameworks across multiple platforms

Leading the redesign of legacy interfaces to enhance usability and satisfaction

Developing and maintaining comprehensive style guides

Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and validate designs

Conducting usability testing and incorporating feedback into designs

Performing other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

10+ years of professional experience in UI/UX design

Degree in a related field

Deep understanding of Design Systems and Responsive Design

Experience with Agile development environments

Proven ability to design for web, mobile, and desktop platforms

Strong communication skills

Collaboration skills

Ability to influence cross-functional teams

Desired Qualifications:

Experience in Media, Streaming, or Broadcast Technology

Background in designing internal tools

Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Familiarity with Figma
