Summary

Position: Phlebotomist III – Floater
Location: FL_W2F_4884 Davis Blvd, Naples FL 34104
Shift: Monday - Friday - 5am-4pm with rotational Saturdays 6am-1130am

Floaters travel in between multiple sites and are expected to be on time at whatever site they are covering for that day. They must also have a clean driving record. Floaters are able to submit mileage for expense reimbursement.Job Details

The Phlebotomist III – Float represents the face of the company to patients, providing a professional and reassuring experience while performing blood collections and preparing specimens for laboratory testing.

The Phlebotomist III – Float is responsible for:

  • Drawing quality blood samples from patients safely, accurately, and efficiently.
  • Preparing and handling specimens according to established practices and procedures.
  • Creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients.
  • Providing coverage across multiple locations and roles, based on business needs.
  • Supporting Patient Service Centers, Mobile, Long-Term Care, and In-Office Phlebotomy operations.
  • Ensuring daily activities are completed accurately and on time.
  • Demonstrating leadership, process excellence, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
  • Working in doctor's offices, patient service centers, house-call environments, long-term care facilities, or other locations as required.
  • Stepping in as a lead and directing the daily activities of one or more Patient Service Representatives (PSRs).
  • Acting as a coach, mentor, instructor, and resource for new employees.
  • Supporting effective onboarding for new employees and clients.
  • Serving as a point of contact for on-site staff and providing regular feedback to the group lead or supervisor.
  • Supporting high-complexity and high-volume practices that require advanced phlebotomy and customer-service skills.
  • Communicating effectively with patients and collaborating with departments including Sales, Laboratory Testing Services, IT, Billing, and Logistics.
  • Managing multiple priorities in a high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy and quality.

Required Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Medical training such as Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington

Required Work Experience

1-3 years phlebotomy experience REQUIRED, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.

2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.

Customer service in a retail or service environment STRONGLY preferred.

Keyboard/data entry experience.
